This is a lace and beaded yoke Christmas sweater designed for the Ch4 TV Show Kirstie’s Hand made Christmas 2020 in which i was a contestant. The compeition was judged by knitwear designer and tutor Erica Knight who declared the jumper a super piece of design and a truly christmas jumper before naming me as me the winner. Since then I have had many requests for the pattern, but have chosen to release it now.
This is a fingering weight pattern featuring a lace motif of Santa’s face and a Beaded Christmas Tree in the yoke, followed by a reverse stocking stitch fade from Ecru to forest green with beaded icicles and a textured Mountain range effect using stocking stitch. My entire family are XL+ bodies therfore I designed for a large one size garment that might fit anyone from about a 40inch chest up to a 50 inch chest.
The decoration and lace does make it seem a more feminine design but as many men have asked to try it on as women.

This is a long knit, I enjoyed every minute of it, the three weeks developing the design concepts and the 4 weeks of production knitting.

The fade was dyed specially for me by Jillian Thom at Mothy & The Squid. She has said that she will reproduce the 6 skein fade kit if people request it.
