Knit a classic looking cowl with this innovative version of creating Tucks. No longer time consuming or tedious or worse yet, inaccurate with stitches missed or the wrong stitch picked up. This way is error free, every stitch will line up to the new row to be knit together.
If you have never tucked this is the way to learn. If you have tucked and aren’t doing it this way you are creating extra work and it’s simply not as enjoyable. (In fact I found it so annoying that I felt there must be a better way). There is a photo tutorial on exactly how to create the tucks to make it easy to learn.
The gradient (ombre) yarn adds some drama to the stocking stitch and the contrast colour blends but still gives it some pop.
Perfect as a hidden hood to be pulled up on chilly days but fashionable enough to create a wardrobe statement. So simple and yet simply beautiful. Cowl measures approx. 34” around, 8 1/2” tucked in and 19” as a hood.
I used a worsted weight for the outside colour and DK for the inside colour to keep it less bulky.
Not just for women… this design would be a warm neck snuggler for the men in your life.
