The simplicity of creating an interesting look with self striping yarn is what makes knitting this cowl so much fun. Adding the chevron effect at the start and end of the cowl is like an Echo of excitement to the softness of the stripes in between.

Chevrons are created with simple decreases and increases and are not difficult to stitch at all. There is a nice section of simple stocking stitch between the chevron sections, perfect for taking a break from counting stitches.

The buttons are stitched through the end layers, no buttonholes, just to keep it simple. There are photos showing how to tuck in the ends and finishing.

All KISS patterns are simple to follow and focus on simple stitches with creative results. Perfect leisurely knitting.

Bound to be one of your favourite cowls to wear and certainly a pleasure to knit.
