This Lil Hugs afghan is a combination of hearts and cables. This pattern offers versatility in yarn and needle choice; with the understanding any changes will alter afghan size. Approximately 40” L x 38” W -- Size may vary depending on yarn, needle choice, and tension. There are 270 rows and 188 stitches across total.

Yarn: I used medium 4 ply yarn, and approximately 18 ounces. I prefer Caron Simply Soft, because it is soft, not fussy, and you can machine wash and dry it. There are no hard fast rules on yarn choice or needle size, with the understanding that different choices affect afghan size and amount of yarn needed. If you prefer a different yarn and needle, go for it!
