The sample was knit with aran weight Jamieson and Smith wool which makes for very warm and stretchy leg warmers however other fibres would also suite.

The sample was knit with yellow and blue yarn, two balls of each. However there are endless colour combination possibilities. It is recommended that the when choosing two colours that they have a strong contrast so that the fair isle pattern is most visible.
