Kitchen Dishcloth ~ Alternating Diagonals
by Joan Laws
The Alternating Diagonals dishcloth pattern is another great choice for practicing knit and purl stitches. A fellow knitter, Ana, wrote to tell me she used the pattern to design a lovely throw pillow for her living room.
Materials I used - Lily/Sugar’n Cream. Color - #01628/Hot Orange – 1 skein. Size US6 (4mm) knitting needles. Gauge - 20sts/4″ in the Alternating Diagonals stitch pattern. Your finished dishcloth should measure 8″x8″. The Alternating Diagonals pattern repeat is included in the pattern as well. I have used this stitch pattern for not only dishcloths but for tea towels and baby blankets as well.
Enjoy ~
Joan
