Knowing how to knit and purl is all you need. Choosing a bright yarn color will make the stitch design pop. The stitch pattern repeat is included.

At first glance the novice knitter may think it too hard to try; however, this stitch pattern is just a simple mix of knit and purl stitches. Nothing scary there. On one of my Facebook posts, a few knitters suggested a cowl, scarf or throw using the Parquet stitch pattern. All great ideas.
