Looking for an adorable bandana?! With the pandemic going on, say no more as this is what you need! It fits comfortably around the neck as a scarf, but can be pulled up to cover the mouth when people are near. How awesome is that!

It also makes a fantastic gift for a mom with a new baby, as the mom can wear the bandana and use it for the baby when needed. It will be extra comfort to the baby as it will smell like mom, and can be used as a small cover-up for those breastfeeding! Of course, when it’s not participating in pandemic related activities.

Size:
• Finished: 27” x 27”

Gauge:
• With 6mm hook in Tss: 2”x2” = 9st x 8 rows

Materials:
• 6.0mm Tunisian (afghan) crochet hook, 32” cable and stopper
• 1 Urth Merino Gradient Kit
• 100% Extrafine Merino, Fingering weight; 880 yds/800m;
50g/skein – All 4 skeins used
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers

Notes:
➔ Kite Dreams is blocked upon completion of the border.
➔ I used almost all of the left over yarn to make the triangle border, swapping it out as 8” was left on the skein. I had enough, but one of my testers fell short. If you would like a more elaborate border, or to add decorative features to the blanket/scarf, then more yarn will need to be purchased.
➔ Instead of saying “make 1 stitch,” I use the Tunisian chain top loop stitch in order to keep the holes from the added stitch smaller and more concise throughout the blanket.
➔ Maker will need a knowledge of Tunisian tweed and a familiarity with different kinds of stitches.
➔ Tunisian crochet makes the perfect faded technique, as the tweed creates a gentler transition between and among the added colors.

Please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions. I may take a day or two to respond as I don’t check my Ravelry every day, but will respond when I do.

Enjoy!!
