Kite Flying Hood
I have a friend who likes to go on “adventures” and will sometimes call asking “What are you doing this weekend?” with plans in mind to do something outdoors and energetic. During one of our adventures, I noticed that the hood from her coat kept blowing off her head and she mentioned she didn’t like hats or scarves. With her birthday around the corner I was determined to come up with an adventure and a hand knit gift for her. This hood with short scarf-like ends, just long enough to tuck into her coat or fasten with a shawl pin, seemed like the fitting gift to pair with a kite and an afternoon at the park kite flying.
