To me, Denyse Schmidt is the mother of modern quilting. I have been a fan of hers for a very long time and am constantly wowed by her designs. I was inspired by her Flock of Triangles quilt from her first book, Quilts, for this pillow cover. I loved how she slipped in just a few quirky prints amidst the mass of solid triangles in the Flying Geese pattern. My version, mixes my favorite shades of blue in high contrast with the white background to really emphasize the triangles.

Stonehedge Fiber Mills Shepherds Wool (100% merino; 250 yds / 229 m per 113 g per skein)
MC Navy; 1 skein or 300 yards of light worsted weight yarn
CC1 White; 1 skein or 100 yards of light worsted weight yarn
CC2 Frosty Blue; 1 skein or 30 yards of light worsted weight yarn
US#6 / 4 mm needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge
