Kitta
Kitta is a crochet cowl worked in the round with the RS always facing up. The main stitch pattern only uses two of the most basic crochet stitches: double crochet and chains. You will alternate two colors at a time, but use only one color in each round.
The working process is easy, yet interesting; it is fascinating to watch the color changes and see the diamonds take shape.
The pattern includes an empty grid to colorize and create your own unique design.
MATERIALS
- Yarn: Finito by Malabrigo, 100% merino, 200 yd (183 m) per 50 g skein, in shades Lavanda, Paloma and Natural (1 skein each)
- Hook: US G (4 mm)
- Two stitch markers
- Yarn needle to weave in ends
GAUGE
- One diamond is approx. 3⅛’’ (8cm) tall and 1⅜’’ (3.5 cm) wide.
FINISHED SIZE
- Width 12⅝’’ (32 cm), circumference 25¼’’ (64 cm)
- Height 13¾’’ (35 cm)
The size of the cowl can be adjusted by working fewer or more rounds or changing the number of starting PRs.
The pattern has been professionally tech edited.
