The pattern can be worked using two or 3 colors. If you intend to use 3 colors you should already be experienced in bicolor Double Knitting.

Using 3 colors is achieved by combining Intarsaria with Double Knitting.

As the design is quite large, you should have some experience in Double Knitting before you start working on this project. I suggest you practice Double Knitting on one of my free, smaller DK Potholders first.

The pillow cover is reversible like this: On the front you have the white kitten, on the back singly knit seed stitch, the cover is closed by a flap. If you turn the cover inside out, you have a brown kitten on the front and still the single seed stitch on the back.
