Kitty Cat Hat
Here is a kitty hat that will keep you warm during the colder months of the year, but also lets you make a fashion statement at the same time. The adorable cat face stitched to the front of the hat will surely attract attention and get you noticed.
This is a great project for a beginner knitter; however, you need to be familiar with the duplicate stitch. If you do not have any experience with this method, please look up a tutorial.
The hat is worked in one piece from front to back, and then seamed together on the sides, so basically you will be making a big rectangle that is folded in half to form the hat. The cat face is added to the front with the duplicate stitch method before sewing the sides together.
The pdf file includes the written instructions, as well as a chart to guide you through the pattern.
It is recommended that you read entirely through the pattern before starting with it. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
For this pattern I used:
~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium, in the colors Pink, Black, Gray, and Green, but you can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.
~ Knitting needles size: US 8 - 5.00 mm
- I want to keep my patterns free for everyone to use, but in return I would like to ask you not to sell them or claim them as your own. You are free to sell the completed projects you make with my patterns, however.
Have fun, and happy knitting!
