These patterns were made for my great niece. She lives in an area that is cold, windy and snowy in the winter.

First, I wanted to make her leg warmers to wear to her ballet class. When they were done, I decided to make her a hat that was cute enough for a 5 year old to wear, but warm enough for her in winter.

After these two items were done, I thought about making her a headband/earwarmer for those days when she needed to keep her ears warm but didn’t want to wear a bulky hat.

The hat is made by holding the two yarns used to make the leg warmers together. The headband/earwarmer is made with the pink marl. (She is a real girlie girl so I had to use as much pink as I could.)
