As a special Hallowe’en treat for all the kitties out there–black witches’ cats included!–I want to share a new pattern for a cute miniature pumpkin, the Kitty Kitty Pumpkin Eater. You can stuff this toy with plain fiberfill, add a bit of dry catnip to the filling, or insert a cat toy plastic ball with bell inside. Of course, these mini pumpkins would be cute little toy food items for children…or you could string some on rustic twine to make a garland that would be perfect for fall or Thanksgiving decorations.

I used Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn and a 4mm crochet hook–as you are stuffing them, you want to use a hook that will give you a tight fabric so little sharp claws don’t pull stuffing out!
