This pattern was inspired by a cross stitch pattern that I happened to come across some time ago … I ‘knifted’ the idea and came up with my version for a dishcloth.

My completed dishcloth is 9” square. This pattern is perfect for a beginner, as knowledge of how to cast on and off as well has how to knit or purl are the only skills needed.

For best results knitting ‘picture’ dishcloths, use a size or two smaller needle than you usually would for the given yarn, choose a solid colour yarn and block your finished dishcloth.
