Kitty's Something New
This fun triangle scarf/shawl is full of texture! It is cozy but not too heavy - perfect for all occasions! Make it in any medium/worsted weight yarn as a solid, color blocked, or striped/variegated piece and it will always turn heads. It works up quickly and has an easy to memorize repeat.
Difficulty level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate Crocheter
Sizing: Pattern has recommendations for sizing from a triangle scarf to a large shawl. It is very user friendly and the size can easily be adjusted to fit your needs - simply add or subtract repeat sections to achieve the size you want.
- 9/12/17 - Pattern has been updated to include a modified pattern for a child size, the Kitty Mini! This would make an adorable Mommy +Me set!!
A note on the name:
As well as a love for crocheting, I have a passion for books. While designing this pattern, I read through Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy for the second time. The story of Levin and Kitty is my favorite of all the stories Tolstoy tells in this novel and their wedding day is one of my favorite scenes. I named my pattern Kitty’s Something New in honor of Kitty’s wedding day - a nod to the bridal rhyme “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”
