Kiwi Barbed wire is another pattern I started work on the end of last year before the Korea Trip took over my lire (see 95 in the shade hat pattern for the full story)

I am a Kiwi County girl Loved growing up on My Grandfathers Dairy farm, with Holidays at My Aunt and Uncles Sheep farm.. lots of baby lambs, and different from home we had calves.. lol.. the thing they had in common was the fences..

This pattern has fence Posts, they run up and down in a nice straight line..t he barbed wire is the stitches worked thru the back loos, they twist around themselves to make the barbs, then the other wires wander across between the fences, wrap around them as they pass. Its a cool pattern that is easier than it looks .. once you get your head around what moves and what stays still..

My Grandma told me that stuff is only hard if you are told its hard, so I think it is suitable for an adventurous beginner… all knitting in only Knits and Purls the fun is how we put them together.. and how we move them about..

I have a fab group of testers who try the patterns before they are published

because the pattern is fairly busy it needs a plain yarn, a gradient would work well, but nothing too busy or the design will be lost in the yarn
