Yarn needed / benötigtes Garn: 200 Gr.

Our youngest asked for cosy socks for Christmas. So I was on the lookout for a pretty, soft sock yarn that wasn’t too thin because the socks are supposed to be worn around the house without shoes. Turns out, this is not an easy task because most thick sock yarns (8 threads) have a high percentage of wool in them, which can lead to unwanted itchiness.
This is why I decided to go for a sock yarn with silk content and just doubled the 4-threaded yarn. Plus, the spiral pattern I chose ensures further thickness but remains stretchy at the same time. The favourite colour of our youngest, green, was on offer in a kiwi shade, hopefully making the present a win all around.

Unsere Jüngste wünscht sich zu Weihnachten Kuschelsocken. Also musste ein schönes, weiches Strumpfgarn her, das aber auch nicht zu dünn sein darf, da die Socken zu Hause ohne Schuhe getragen werden sollen. Die Suche war nicht einfach, die meisten dicken Sockengarne (8-fädig) haben einen spürbar hohen Woll-Anteil, der wegen Kratzempfindlichkeit nicht gewünscht war.
Daher habe ich mich für ein Sockengarn mit Seiden-Anteil entschieden und dieses 4-fädige Garn einfach doppelt genommen. Zudem schafft das gewählte einfache Spiral-Muster weitere Fülle und ist dennoch elastisch. Die Lieblingsfarbe grün war im Angebot in einer frischen Kiwi-Variante, so dass das Geschenk hoffentlich auf ganzer Linie überzeugt.
