Materials for the Hat
Two skeins of Malabrigo Rios, in contrasting colors – one solid, one variegated. The hat used approximately 50 grams of each color.
MC – Arco Iris, CC – Peachy.
Size US 5 (3.75mm) circular needles, 16” length.
Size US 7 (4.5mm) circular needles, 16” length.
Size 5 double pointed needles.
Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
The hat is 8.5” deep x 19” in circumference that will stretch to 22”.
Gauge: 6 sts/inch in checked band.
5 sts/in in striped crown.

Materials for the Cowl
Two skeins of Malabrigo Rios, in contrasting colors – one solid, one variegated. The cowl used approximately 50 grams of each color.
MC – Arco Iris, CC – Peachy.
Size US 9 (5.5mm) circular needles, 16” length.
Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
The cowl is 9” deep x 22” in circumference at the neck and 36” in circumference at the bottom.
Gauge: 4.5 sts/inch and 5.5 rows/inch in checked band.
4 sts/in and 6 rows/inch in striped crown.
