Klavier is a border design, depicting octaves of a keyboard - maybe a piano, organ, harpsichord or clavichord. You might want to change the colours to match the particular instrument.

The pattern includes instructions for a headband, and a hat. Both are worked in the round, and I used Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift on 2.75mm and 3.5mm needles. One ball of Shetland black was just enough for the hat, but if you want to make it any deeper, you’ll probably need a second ball. I used less than half a ball of natural white.

Both headband and hat have rib borders, the hat has crown shaping worked with centred double decreases.
