Sometimes the best things are the simplest and that’s why I wanted to share with you this very satisfying little project, tested over a few winters at home :). Kled is a light, practical and voluptuously cozy cowl that will make a perfect shelter against the cold winter winds and a nice easy-to-adopt gift for those who deserve a hand-knitted present this Christmas!

It is knitted in shaker rib stitch (also called « half fisherman’s ribs ») which gives it a lot of comfiness and a different pattern on each side. It can be worn either inside out or right side up and the height can be easily adjusted by folding it over for a nice turtleneck effect.

2 balls of Penelope De Rerum Natura (90% organic Arles merino, 10% silk, 133 m/50g) (You will need about 200 m or 75 g in total for a collar, so with 3 balls you can make one for yourself and offer the second :))
Shown in “chocolat chaud” and “orgeat” colors.

20 stitches and 34 rows = 4 inches in shaker rib stitch

“Kled” est un col, léger, pratique et voluptueusement douillet qui fera un rempart parfait aux vents froids de l’hiver et un joli cadeau facile à adopter pour les chanceux élus de vos aiguilles.

Il se tricote en côtes perlées, ce qui lui donne beaucoup de moelleux et un motif différent mais tout aussi interessant de chaque côté. On peut ainsi le porter indifféremment sur l’envers ou l’endroit et moduler la hauteur en le repliant pour un joli effet col roulé.
