The Kleiner scarf is an easy-to-knit stash-bustering project. This little item is perfect for spring, transition of seasons and slightly chilly nights. It has a hole at one end that allows you to wrap it up elegantly without tying it. The scarf reaches around the neck once. This design was inspired by the PERLA yarn from LAMANA in Germany; Kleiner means small in German. It is worked first in the Crossed stockinette stitch with increases, then the Woven horizontal herringbone pattern is worked using larger needle with decreases. Finally, the end is split into two and two I-cords are knitted to make a hole, then rejoined to be finished with decreases.
