Kleinflache Hat
Mobius scarves are so last season; try a Mobius hat!
I put this one together years ago, before I knew Ravelry existed. It’s funny what you find when you trawl through your old emails and forgotten file folders.
Two layers of crocheted material make for an extra warm hat, and if you use super soft acrylic or wool it makes for a squishable, huggable bit of mathematical geekery.
Yes, you’re reading it right, the tags for this pattern say it’s worked both bottom up and top down. That’s what you get when you try to make a non-orientable two dimensional manifold in a three-dimensional space. (And now you’re going to Google that ;D)
Crochet stitches used: magic ring, ch, dc, dc2tog, slst
