KLINT Helmet and Mittens
We have lowered the price permanently on this pattern!
This is a quick little knitting project using just one skein of yarn. The helmet comes down slightly at the forehead and covers the top of the ears. A pair of matching mittens completes the outfit.
We have used Mountain Mohair from Green Mountain Spinnery in Vermont for our model, but you can use other yarns that will fit the gauge described above. It is also availbale as a kit here:

The helmet is knitted in the round beginning with the Frost Flower lace pattern and ending in plain stockinette stitches at the crown. For the mittens we also used stockinette stitches inside the palm of the hand, and worked the pattern from Frost Flower on the top of the hand. We recommend knitting the helmet first in order to be very familiar with the pattern before beginning the mittens.
