Klósigar Mittens - Cirrus
Classically stranded mittens pattern with Latvian braids and a simple ribbing. The
pattern is regular and easy to remember. The same pattern is used for palm and
back of hands. In some places long floats are inevitable, and it is recommended
that you weave in your yarn every 3rd stitch as you go. You can choose, if you’d like
to work single coloured or patterned thumbs.
This is one of those patterns that emerged, when I just watched the clouds and
mindlessly scribbled something. Most often, the mittens come about first and then
the matching hat.
When working the pattern, keep the contrast colour strand near you, so it will be
the more pronounced one (dominant).
Thorough explanations as well as links to technical videos are included.
A matching hat pattern is also available:
You can also buy both patterns together on offer on my website: https://www.natturuprjon.is/
