The Knik River beanie features elegant lines of twisted stitches and cables, reminiscent of the braided channels of the Knik River. The Knik River is located in Southcentral Alaska, bordered by mountains, and ends at the Knik Glacier. Its beauty astounds me every time we travel it!

Sizing
I provide instructions for 5 finished circumferences: 13”/33cm (14”/35.5cm) (15”/38cm) (16”/40.5cm) (17”/43cm). This hat is extremely stretchy, so I recommend knitting the size that gives about 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) of negative ease relative to your head circumference. Finished height is fully adjustable, though I give directions for a tigher-capped version (7.75”/19cm tall) and for a slouchier version (9.75”/25cm tall).

Sample shown in the 15”/38cm size, tight-capped version, on a 23.5”/60cm head circumference.
