“A few rows of openwork combine nicely with a wide row of cable stitch pattern to give an attractive edging. When made with tatting thread and using size 16 double pointed steel knitting needles, the edging measures about 2 1/4 inches wide. For a wider edge, about 3 inches wide, use size 30 crochet cotton and size 0 double pointed aluminum knitting needles.”
