Knit false cable scarf
by Anne Lang
An easy patterned scarf for a beginner to try. It uses bamboo stitch and a false cable stitch that look nice but are easy to do. I also included the basic patterns for false cable and bamboo stitch separately in case you want to use them for different projects.
Skills needed: cast on, slip stitch purlwise, knit, purl, yarn over, pass stitch over knit stitches, knit 2 together, bind off, weave in ends, block finished product.
Materials required: Knitting needles and yarn. I used 6mm needles and medium weight yarn for the scarf pictured (Classic Acrylic Aran from the brand We Love yarn, colour 40- Wine). Changing the yarn weight and needle size will alter the overall size of the finished product.
