The Knit Knot Socks are knit from the bottom up, starting with Judy’s Magic Cast-On. The toe is shaped with lifted increases. The Knot Stitch Pattern is worked on the top of the foot and right around the leg, and stockinette on the underside of the foot. The heels are shaped with German short rows.

I wanted to use a pattern which would provide a little extra detail rather than a plain striped sock, but not compete with the colour too much. These little knots are simple to work and add just the required amount of interest.
