This pattern was originally published in Godey’s Magazine, in 1863. My version has a photo tutorial, as well as written pattern on how to make the purse.

I have changed a few things about the pattern, as the original directions don’t look exactly like the image given in Godey’s Magazine. Personally, I like the look of the image better. I also added a lining to the purse, which keeps the lacework open instead of scrunched.
