Uses the garter stitch, which is knit all rows. Also you need to do some color work by knitting 6 stitches of yellow, then 6 stitches of orange on the odd rows and 6 stitches of orange and 6 stitches of yellow on the even rows to make a checkerboard effect. You will also crochet a chain to make the husk part.
If you use a variagated yarn in fall colors, you don’t even need to do the color work!
