Show off some fun, bright, self-striping yarn with easy-to-knit, reversible fingerless mitts - or go for a more subtle look with a solid or tonal yarn. Either way, your hands will look fabulous! You only need to know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off to make these mitts.

This pattern is for a knitter who is comfortable knitting in the round and switching to rows for a thumb hole.

These mitts take around 2/3 of a skein of West Yorkshire Spinners Aire Valley Aran yarn to make. I used the colourway Rum Paradise. However, you can use any worsted or aran weight yarn you prefer. You’ll need the rest of the skein to make a gauge swatch/tension square, so it won’t go to waste. ;)

The pattern as written provides for one size only (it should fit an average adult woman’s hands) - however, the mitts are very stretchy. Instructions are also given for adjusting the width.
