‘Tis the season to knit Knitmas baubles!

Inspired by the traditional Norwegian Julekular (Christmas tree ball). In this pattern you can find instructions for a simple chunky bauble, a prefilled chart for a patterned bauble, and an empty chart for you to create a bauble with the design of your choice! If you have not knitted socks before, this is a great opportunity to learn how to use double pointed needles with a quick and rewarding knit. It’s also a perfect project to use up your leftover Christmas scrap yarn to decorate your Christmas tree or gift your friends and family!

Size: One size Level: Intermediate

Dimensions: 27 cm 10.6 in diameter

Gauge: 14 sts in 10cm in stockinette on 5 mm US 8 needles
Note: Only stitch gauge (horizontal) is important for this pattern

Yarn: Sandnes Garn Fritidsgarn or any Aran weight yarn that meets gauge.
For a plain, one colour bauble: approx. 12g of yarn.
For a bicolour bauble, as seen in the picture: approx. 10g for colour (A) and 2g for colour (B). Colours used in the sample are Christmas Red (A) and Cream (B)

Materials:
5 mm US 8 x 5 DPNs , One stitch marker, Scissors, Tapestry needle ,Soft toy filling / scrap yarn.
