This chunky hat is a quick knit with very simple stranded colourwork. The number of stitches between colour changes is always very small so there is no requirement to twist yarn in the back. It would make a good beginners colour work project.

The pattern can also be knit in a single ball of chunky yarn, just ignore references to C1 and C2.
