Knitted Christmas star
It can be knit in any weight of yarn you like, but I’d advise to go for yarn with some give (like wool for instance rather than cotton), and at a fairly tight gauge for best effect.
It’s a bit fiddly to start with as you only start with a few stitches, but it’s entirely knit in the round with no seaming.
There are a few patterns for knitted stars out there, but when I started designing mine I had a clear idea of what I wanted it to look like: I wanted the stitches to fan out of the centre of the star, and I wanted them to wind their way up the tip of the points in a wavy line. And since I didn’t find anything which satisfied my demands I set out to make my own.
I have to say I’m quite happy with the result, so I decided to write up the pattern, my first one, and to share it!
I hope you like it too, and I’m looking forward to seeing what to see how it turns out for you!
