Knitted Christmas Tree
The finished tree can be used in a 1:12th scale scene or as a small table decoration in a human house. In order to accommodate everyone who wishes to join in, this is not a religious decoration, but does have a winter theme.
This will be definitely classed as an heirloom by anyone who makes it, as each set of branches and the tree skirt has a different lace border.

Materials required
Pair of size 2.00 mm knitting needles, 50g green No 10 crochet thread, 70g white No 10 crochet thread (40g for branch trims and 30g for tree skirt, the tree skirt may also be worked in another colour, such as red); 6 to 10 mm diameter bamboo cane or wooden dowel approximately 25 cm (10-inches) long; thin card and cling wrap for stiffening, plus stiffening materials (these are shown at end of pattern).
Finished measurements:
Tree is 22.5 cm/9½-inches tall, widest branches are 20 cm/8-inches across. Tree skirt is 25 cm/10-inches diameter. (Chocolate Santa on photos is 22.5 cm/9½-inches tall)
NOTE: The tree can be set in a pot without the tree skirt and/or trunk, if a shorter tree is required. This will take approximately 5 cm/2-inches off the height of the tree.
Gauge: Gauge is not important to this design as trees can be any size and shape
