Working from crown to band, the hat is made one square at a time, entrelac style. Stitches are picked up from two squares to form the next square or triangle. The hat is worked flat for a start and then joined by picking up the stitches for last few squares and triangles from main part of the hat. Photographs are included to illustrate the method.
