This is a very simple variation on Kat Coyle’s original Pussyhat Project. It’s worked in the round and has a centrally located double decrease which helps to shape the hat to the head and make the ears stand more erect. I am sharing this for all you pussyhat enthusiasts out there. Knit Strong!!!

It’s only in one size and one gauge but those of you who have already knit these hats will know what to do to amend your numbers. Basically, add or subtract numbers for the cast on in multiples of 4. Knit the ribbing for 4 1/4 inches as in the original, knit in stockinette for about 2 inches, then work the decreases and knit 4 more rows in stockinette before binding off. I used a three needle bind off on the WS of the work but if you want to kitchener, I ain’t gonna stop you :-).
