Knitted frocks for children will be particularly fashionable this winter. The accompanying directions will, therefore, be most seasonable.

FOR a child, from six to eight years of age one requires ten one-ounce balls of white Shetland floss and one pair of No. 4 knitting needles.

From 1921, this is a simple dress for a girl of 6 to 8 years. The yarn is very fine, but the needles are very large, producing a light, lacy fabric. No gauge is given. “Ribs” refer to garter stitch.
