I’ve seen as well all those beautiful knitted laces as the many filet crochet charts and thought: it should be possible to knit a lace shawl from such a chart (I find it always a little confusing to read lace knitting charts ;-)).

After a lot of trying I found a way to knit a lace from a filet crochet chart.
I feel that it’s not perfect yet, I’d love to hear from you what you think.

At my blog I tell you how I’m doing it and offer you two pattern charts (PDFs) that you can use to make a knitted lace shawl such as mine (which isn’t finished yet).
Of course you can use them as well for filet crochet or cross stitch embroidery or beading or a lot of other techniques as well ;-)
