Finished Size:
This soap saver is very stretchy in all directions, but laid out flat, un-stretched, it measures approximately 5 inches tall (12.5cm) by 4 inches (10cm) wide.

gauge is not really important.

Pattern 1 as written is worked flat, then the sides and bottom are seamed.
Pattern 2 as written is worked in the round, then the bottom sewn.
