Knitted motorhome
Now you can knit your own motorhome and save on diesel costs! These motorhomes are knitted in double knit yarn on 4mm needles, and are really easy to knit. There are two different styles, with or without overcab, both from the same pattern. You can also easily adjust the length so it doesn’t matter how long your motorhome is. Once you have knitted the body, make it individual by adding windows and doors wherever you like, and you can also add coloured decals if you like! It doesn’t have to be white either; knit it in the colour or colours of your choosing and really make it your own!
The completed motorhomes will measure approximately as follows:
No overcab, 5.75 metre vehicle
Length: 25cm/10”
Width: 11cm/4.25”
Height: 14cm/5.5”
With overcab, 5.75 metre vehicle
Length (including overcab): 30cm/12”
Length (excluding overcab): 25cm/10”
Width: 11cm/4.25”
Height: 17cm/7”
For the body, you’ll need 75g in the main colour (or quantity to suit if using two different colours)
For the windows, you’ll need 30g in grey
For the wheels, bumper and base, you’ll need 50g in black
You might prefer to knit your bumper in a different colour
For the number plates and lights, you’ll need oddments of yellow, orange and red. I also used white yarn with shiny thread within it, for my headlights.
