Knitted Christmas hat is a great way to add some fun to any festive outfit. It’s a quicker hat to knit because it’s knit flat. To create the fluffy brim on this Santa hat I used Phildar Phil Nounours Yarn (100% Polyamide).

Level: Easy level knitting pattern.

YOU WILL NEED
1 ball of white merino wool yarn (approx. 1.76 oz. – 246 yd., 50 g – 225 m)
1 ball of white Phildar Phil Nounours (50 g – 50 m, 1.8 oz. – 55 yards)
2 balls of red merino wool yarn (approx. 1.76 oz. – 246 yd., 50 g – 225 m)
1 pair 5.5 mm (9 US, 5 UK) needles
Pompom maker (plastic or cardboard) – diameter 5 cm – 6 cm (2 in – 2.5 in)

The hat is made by holding two strands of yarn together:
for brim – 1 ball of white merino yarn & 1 ball of white fluffy Phildar yarn;
for hat – 2 balls of red merino yarn.

GAUGE
Please note that the most of pure wool items stretching after washing.
15 stitches and 20 rows per 10 cm (4 in) stockinette stitch pattern, using 5.5 mm (9 US, 5 UK) needles.
