Knitted shoelaces have been done, but this PDF offers two alternative solutions that are a bit better than finishing the ends by wrapping the loose yarn tail around the ends. While I suggest using a knitting mill like the Prym or Embellish-knit, you can hand-knit or use a spool loom. The photo using the metal tips will be replaced as soon as my crimp tool arrives :smiley:
