This pattern is for a girl and boy sock monkey - they are variations on the same basic pattern.
Finished monkeys are approx. 11in (25cm) high when sitting.
You will need about 79-82yds (72-75m) of DK/light worsted yarn in main colour for each animal and smaller amounts of other colours.
You will also require some 100% polyester toy filling.
Gauge isn’t crucial when knitting toys, but you must make sure that your knitting isn’t too loose or the toy filling will show through.
