Knittens use several techniques, a Folded Hem for cuff with Provisional Cast-On, a simple 2x2 Fair Isle Pattern, and Slip Stitch Patterns. Links are provided for the Provisional Cast-On and the Folded Hem. You get a wonderful look when using a self-stripe yarn for your contrast color and a solid for your main color. Directions include the slip stitch charts and written directions for both Mittens and Fingerless Mitts. (There is also an alternative Ribbed Cuff)

Materials:
50 grams of fingering weight yarn in Solid (MC)
50 grams of fingering weight yarn in a self-stripe (CC) When picking contrasting color make sure it doesn’t contain any of the main color or the pattern will get muddy.
Model is made with solid Heritage Sock Yarn in #5639, and Rock & String Creations in “Carmel Apple Cider” Another suitable stripe yarns would be Knit Picks Felicity
