Knot Forgotten Knit Owl
Spread love, hope, and a little knitted magic to a child who has lost everything.
The mission behind Knot Forgotten is to provide toys to children living in extremely difficult situations. Knot Forgotten was founded as a response to the Syrian refugee crisis, and has since expanded to include the children of overseas Christians suffering persecution.
As of publishing this pattern, over 2000 toys have been donated by makers from over 50 countries around the world. The message is one of love and joy, letting each child know they’re not forgotten.
This is the knitted version of the original crochet design by Milena Rufato. The full set of crochet patterns are available to purchase through the Open Doors website.

The entire pattern is worked flat on straight needles and then seamed afterwards. You will need a pair of 3.00mm needles and some spare DK yarn in various colours.
You will also need toy stuffing, oddments of yarn for the facial embroidery, a wool needle, and a spare needle or stitch holder.
