A charted pattern with both lace and cable stitches and an optional pom pom on the top.

Difficulty: Intermediate. Must be able to read charts, work lace and basic cables.

Finished circumference measurements of 14” (16”, 18”) are deceptive -- the pattern stitch creates a very stretchy fabric that expands about 4 inches when worn.

Recommended yarn: Hand Maiden Fine Yarn Casbah Plush -- 100 grams/200 yards per skein. Yardage required -- .5 to .9 skein, depending on size and whether or not you make the optional pom pom.

Casbah Plush is a DK weight with great loft and excellent stitch definition, you may be fine to substitute any DK or light worsted yarn with similar characteristics. A solid or semi-solid color way is recommended due to the busy stitch pattern. Sample is shown in Hand Maiden’s November Sky color way.
