Sometimes in the winter, you need just a little something more to keep you warm around the house or out on the town. The Knotted eyelet poncho is a fun pattern that an advanced beginner will find challenging, but not overwhelming and an intermediate or experienced knitter will have enough to keep them interested until the end.

It features the knotted eyelet pattern at the beginning and end of the rectangle and along one side. By slipping the first 2 stitches of each row, you are also creating a rolled edge. You can finish it as directed in the pattern to wear it as a poncho or leave it as a rectangle and wear it as a shawl wil a shawl pin.

Knotted eyelet pattern:
Row 1: K2, (YO, K3, Pass first st knit over second two sts) repeat to last st, K1
Row 2 & 4: Purl
Row 3: K1, (YO, K3, Pass first st knit over second two sts) repeat to last st, K2
